Have You Tried These Yet?

An evening out outfit..take what most of you women already have in your closet…a staple black blazer and an essential black tank then pair it with one of my favorite bottoms…the PRINTED PANT! A huge trend for Fall and even bigger for Spring 2015! An easy way to add style and put a bit of fun into your wardrobe! The biggest hesitation I get from women regrading a pant with a pattern is that they feel it will draw attention to areas that they might want to conceal! This is FALSE! A bottom with a print will camouflage areas you might feel self conscious about! Depending on your body type you can choose from a more stream lined fit, like the one I’m wearing, or a relaxed, looser fit…get rid of some of those boring, stuffy black slacks you have hanging in your closet and try this look…I promise you won’t be sorry! xo Robin

Valentine’s Date Night Inspiration

Admittedly, I’m an addicted vintage shopper…whether for myself or my clients. There’s nothing like scoring a gorgeous, well made dress at a great price, to me the ultimate in shopping. These are 2 incredible treasures I found on a recent hunt! They are the perfect date night dresses…Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, it will be hard to choose which to wear. xo Robin

Navajo Inspired Fashion

I sometimes think I was born and raised somewhere out west and my parents forgot to tell me…I love anything that relates to western wear in the fashion world! That’s why I’m so excited that anything Navajo or Southwestern inspired is so in, especially for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2014!!! Think Aztec printed jackets, sweaters, handbags, and scarves for now. Along with Navajo inspired skirts, shorts, tees for later. Add some great beaded sandals, belts, or jewelry for smaller touches. Whatever it is you can’t go wrong! Oh and of course some fabulous cowboy boots will keep you right on trend! xo Robin

A Man’s Fashion Disaster…and How To Remedy It!

A weekend away opened my eyes to just how badly MOST men dress! Jeans that bagged and sagged, white athletic shoes, that in my opinion should only be worn in the gym! I’m not against a fun, fashion sneaker but I was swimming in a sea of white sneakers! And JORTS (not quite jeans, not quite shorts) I don’t care who you are, these do not look good on anyone! They cut you in half and make you look short and stubby!! I won’t mention the array of horrible, also Ill fitting, t-shirts I spotted. An easy way for a man to update his look is to first find a great fitting pair of denim, opt for a narrower leg and a darker wash ( it can be dressed up or dressed down!)! A t-shirt is fine, but stay away from the free t-shirt you got from a promotional give away, one that wasn’t purchased in the 80’s or 90’s (unless its a vintage rock tee), and one that doesn’t have redneck or drinking references on it! Pair your jeans and tee look with a jacket, a modern blazer, an edgy leather, or a v-neck sweater or cardigan! Lastly, finish it off with a fun stylish sneaker…I especially love the Adidas in the photo on the bottom right! *A special thank you to all the men who allowed me to photograph them and the ones who didn’t know it, I was doing it anyway*

Recent Purchases…

I’m so excited about Fall Fashion this year! As a professional shopper you can imagine I see everything and want everything! So it is with great self control that I share with you 2 of my recent purchases as I LOVE them so much! Of course a new handbag! This one I fell head over stilettos with due to the amazing stud detail! My other love, seriously love these! J Brand photo ready skinny jeans! I’m always on the hunt for the perfect pair of denim that will make legs look long and lean. J Brand has granted my wish with its new Photo Ready denim collection. These ultra-slimming jeans lift and hold, giving the wearer a picture perfect silhouette! Banish any suspicions though: these aren’t jeggings. They are a unique blend of cotton, polyester and Lycra, the fabric stays true to its denim roots while still giving maximum stretch for comfort and freedom of movement. And thanks to its amazing recovery, you won’t get that sag in the rear(not an attractive look when an adult woman looks like she’s wearing a diaper!).I’m loving mine in this seasons hottest color in denim, grey-black I highly recommend trying these they will have you looking good and feeling good!

Fall Trend 2013; Leather and Vegan Leather

To me there is nothing like a great jacket! Especially, a leather or vegan jacket! It truly can amp up any look! As you can see I’m obsessed, yes those are all mine! Which makes me so happy to say that anything leather is so big for Fall 2013! So go out and find a piece that brings you as much joy as mine do! Pair with anything from dresses, pencil skirts, denim, or trousers!

Besides jackets you can also opt for a great pair of leather or vegan pants! I love mine they are a ponte and leather mix! Or be adventurous and try a head turning skirt! Either way you can’t go wrong!

Fashion Rule #6 That Was Meant To Be Broken…Sequins Are Just For Evening!

Good news glitzy girls! Sequins are no longer just creatures of the night, they have made full on acceptance into the light of day, even for the office! But here are some tips…Tone it down, don’t breeze into the office looking like Ru Paul decked out in head to toe sequins. Try a lightly sequined top with a classic pencil skirt. Pair with something casual, like an all over sequined top with ripped jeans or cut-offs. Or a sequined skirt with a white t-shirt or this seasons big trend, a sweatshirt! Less is more when wearing sequins, so lighten up the make-up and the jewelry! Lastly, own it!
Embrace the sequin trend unapologetically and shine on!
