Valentine’s Day Style….Fierce

Does sappy romance make you feel like tossing your cookies? Do you cringe at the sight of pink?? Do you prefer a night at the club over an intimate dinner? Are you a lay it on the line type of girl, letting your guy always know the way it is? If so then I would say you’re a fierce girl? Let yourself roar with an edgy type of look. Try a leather jacket (loving this peplum one), paired with animal print pants, stilettos that demand attention, and lastly, a bedroom look that will have him begging for more…xo Robin

An Updated Casual Look For A 40 Something!

We’ve all done it, ran out the door not looking our best! Whether its dropping the kids at school, running errands after the gym, or just frankly having a lazy! But here’s what’s going to have you looking regardless…keep your attire updated and relevant! To me there is nothing worse then seeing a 40 something running around in her “PINK” ensemble and the so yesterday UGG boots! If you’re in your teens or early 20’s this look is somewhat acceptable, but otherwise, my advice steer clear! Opt for richer (and I don’t mean more expensive!), more sophisticated items! A stylish sweatshirt, simple black leggings, fashionable fun sneakers (which are so in), a simple cross body bag, keep the make-up light with mascara and a tinted lip moisturizer! I promise people will turn heads, but this time not for the wrong reasons!

Fall Essentials

Everyday Fall Essentials, for the everyday woman…
Most of the women I work with as a personal stylist are everyday women. They are women who are looking to make the most out of their wardrobes from both a functional point of view and a financial point of view. As we’ve entered into the biggest season in fashion I have spent a lot of time in women’s closets and stores helping them create everyday Fall looks for when they want to be casual but still look good. Here are my top reccomendations…
A chunky cozy sweater, a great colored blouse or printed blouse, a couple of blazers (blazers are my ultimate reccomendation), a great fitting pair of denim (AG Stilts most unvirsally flattering), a cascading cardigan, an arsenal of solid long sleeve t-shirts, a pair of black leggings (Lysse leggings are my favorite), boots of any kind!, a great bag especially in a color, scarves to dress up those plain tee’s, a wristful of arm candy, and lastly make-up, this year it’s all about the dark lip and a neautral eye!

The Best of Fall

As the air gets a little crisper, the apples are fully visible on the trees, and when the September issue of Vogue arrives it means, to me, the fall fashion season has officially begun. This fall is filled with so many great trends! Here is The best of Fall so far… oxblood, gold, leather, motorcycle jackets, fitted blazers, lace, cap toed shoes, animal print, dark lips, and peplums to name just a few!

The Summer Checklist

Summer is about, easy living and easy dressing…here are my top must haves for summer…
* A chino short, you choose the color…most stores like J. Crew make these classics in varying lengths which I love as some of us want to show more and some of us want to show less!
* A simple ribbed tank…my advice, stock up on these.  They are great for layering or wearing alone. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone here and choose some neon colors to amp up your summer wardrobe!
* Basic cotton t-shirts…you’ll wear them all year round, I promise!
* A broken in pair of denim…whether you choose a high-end brand like J Brand or a lower end like Levis…there is nothing like a worn out pair of jeans that makes your ass look good…
* A  chambray shirt…a season essential! Wear as a layering piece over tanks and dresses to keep you warm on chilly nights or when the a/c is blowing too hard.
* Shoes in neutral hues to pair with all the color we are seeing this season! I recommend a great comfy gladiator, a fabulous wedge, and this season’s biggest trend…a summer boot! I personally own all 3 of the shoes in this photo and LOVE them all!
* Fabulous sunglasses…I love these Oakley’s they are so flattering and your purchase will support The Young Survival Coalition, an organization very near and dear to my heart!
* A fun, colorful wrap bracelet or a wrist filled of stacked bangles will add a punch of style to your basics..
* A belt is another great accessory that will allow you to add some personality to a simple outfit…
*  Bright hued make-up will look amazing against sun-kissed skin!
Enjoy,
xo Robin
